Lee Hinkle Percussion and Lyric Baritone Voice Biography
Lee Hinkle is a percussionist and baritone vocalist whose
percussion playing has been called “rock-steady” by the Washington Post.Lee holds degrees in percussion from the University of South Florida,
summa cum laude and the University
of Maryland where he is
currently finishing his Doctorate of Musical Arts.Lee’s notable performances have included the
National Symphony Orchestra and the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra as well as
tours with Bebe Neuwirth, Bernadette Peters, and the American Wind Symphony
Orchestra.With several CDs to his
credit, Lee’s recordings can be heard on the Capstone Records, Town Hall
Records, and C. F. Peter’s Corporation labels.An active percussion recitalist, Lee’s performances have included the University of Maryland,
University of South Florida,
Virginia Commonwealth University,
the Arts Club of Washington, and the MD / DE Day of Percussion.Lee is a Lecturer of Percussion at the University of Maryland
in College Park, MD.
